Our goal is to equip our students with the skills and confidence necessary to develop applied solutions to the everyday challenges of insect monitoring and conservation. Today, most biomonitoring of diversity and abundance is recorded via human-placed traps and observations. We are eager to explore how monitoring efforts could be automated to ease the challenges of reaching and assessing multiple remote landscapes, while also improving our ability to process and interpret incoming data.
