NITTANY AI CHALLENGE CELEBRATION
THURS APRIL 18, 5-8PM @ HINTZ FAMILY ALUMNI CENTER
Cheer on INSECT NET trainee Yanqiu Yang as her team competes for first prize in this competition. BioWatch is a novel monitoring tool design to detect and report the occurrence of different invasive insect species using a remotely powered trap camera system.
Mingle with the top Challenge teams and the exceptional interns working on Nittany Advance projects, meet members of the Nittany AI Student Society to learn how you can be involved in the community, and celebrate the top-five MVPs who will receive funding to further develop their AI applications. You’ll also get to see which Challenge team wins $1,000 from the GeoEd Foundation for the Vishwamitra AI Geography Award for the project that best addresses geo-literacy.

TECH FOR AGRICULTURE AND LIVING SYSTEMS SYMPOSIUM

Gather to learn about the latest research in Tech and AI for Agriculture and Ecology. Participants will have the opportunity to foster the partnerships that integrate emerging and advanced technologies to address the complex challenges we face with climate change, resource protection (soil, water, air), biodiversity losses, rural and urban health, and social and economic shifts within our communities.

2024 LIFE SCIENCES SYMPOSIUM

The Life Sciences Symposium is an annual meeting organized by the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences and the Huck Graduate Student Advisory Committee (HGSAC) at Penn State. This event has brought together researchers from diverse scientific fields, promoting unique research collaborations, funding, and networking opportunities. This year’s symposium theme will be Artificial Intelligence in the Life Sciences. The Life Sciences Symposium will feature keynote speakers, student research presentations and posters, panels, and workshops.
