Alanna Richman

: Alanna is an Ecology PhD student working with Deah Lieurance in the Dept. of Ecosystem Science and Management. Her work focuses on the impact and spread of invasive insects in forests while integrating climate change scenarios. A key focus of her work involves studying secondary spread pathways. These are post-border (geographical and/or political) methods of dispersal that enable internal spread and establishment within invaded regions. She is excited to explore the role of technology and AI in locating and monitoring these pathways. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, drawing, and boxing/martial arts.
